“Deep Quest” which is a casual RTS(Real Time Strategy) game that I was working on in my previous company has finally shipped. It has been a great ride where I picked up LUA to do the mission scripting and helped in fleshing out the storyline and characters in the game. Although my official role was that of a programmer, I did more than just programming as I had to craft out a coherent storyline, tune the mission scenarios to be in line with the storyline, think of the character dialogues so as to give each and every character a memorable personality. Now that the game has shipped, I can’t help, but feel a sense of pride.
P.S : The initial reviews of “Deep Quest” on Yahoo! Games portal website have been great, I guess all that weekends and late nights in the office were not spent in vain.
